What does this plug-in
do you ask? well its been known to spy on terrorist activities, rumor has it
our u.s government is using it so spy on lynn-baden. All kidding aside, this
plug-in is one of the few webcasting dsps available staked to the hilt
with options for your webcast. |

Its main features, are the abilities to stream
in ogg vorbis format at a variable or
constant bit rates, for use with
icecast2 |

I also tested this with a
dsp stacker from spacial audio.
as you can see from the photo above I was able to stack 2 oddcast dsps 1
shoutcast dsp. The 1st oddcast was streaming in ogg format to icecast2 and
the 2nd was streaming in mp3 to icecast1. Of course the shoutcast dsp was
connected to my main server. My cpu usage was at about half full. |

For mp3 streaming support, oddcast uses the lame
mp3 codec for high quality mp3 streaming. as you can see in the images below
the options for encoding are very versatile. |

Overall
I found oddcast dsp to be a very promising utility for webcasting in ogg
vorbis format, it is still in beta stages but will be in real versioning
very soon. |
